Clear Positioning. Sharp Design. An Identity Built to Scale.
We build brands that are visually sharp, strategically grounded, and impossible to confuse with anyone else.
Your brand is already saying something — the question is whether it’s saying the right thing. Most businesses outgrow their original identity. The logo made sense five years ago. The messaging worked when you had one product. But now you’re in a different market, talking to a different customer, and the brand hasn’t caught up.
We don’t start in Illustrator — we start in conversation. What makes your company different? What do your customers actually care about? What’s the emotional territory you want to own? Our Chief Creative Officer leads every branding engagement personally. Once we understand the strategy, we design an identity that expresses it with clarity and conviction. Then we package it into a system your team can use everywhere — consistently, confidently, and without calling us for every small update.

We interview you, your team, and (when possible) your customers. We research your competitors. We assess your current brand against what the market expects. The goal is to understand the truth of your business — not just the aspiration — so the brand we build actually fits.
Logo. Color system. Typography. Iconography. Photography direction. Our CCO leads the creative — exploring multiple directions, presenting concepts, and refining through collaborative review until the identity feels unmistakably yours. No junior designers working in a vacuum.
We walk your team through the brand system. How to use the templates. Where the files live. What's flexible and what's not. You don't need us to make a social post or update a flyer — but we're here if you want us.
We define where your brand lives in the market. Competitive differentiation. Audience priorities. Messaging architecture — mission, value propositions, taglines, voice and tone. This is the strategic backbone everything visual is built on.
A brand isn't useful if your team can't apply it. We package everything into a comprehensive brand guidelines document — plus digital and print templates, social media kits, and any collateral you need at launch. You walk away with a system, not just a logo file.

Most agencies separate brand strategy from creative execution. We don't. The person defining your positioning is the same person directing the design.
A brand system should grow with your business. We build flexible, modular identities that work today and adapt as you expand.
Our Creative Director leads every branding engagement. Senior eyes on every detail, every direction, every deliverable.

We’ll be in touch within 1 business day:
Carolina knows that creativity without structure is just noise. With a background in audiovisual and international cultural productions, she brings operational precision to creative environments — turning complex moving parts into clear, executable workflows. At DeFrance, she’s the bridge between strategy and execution: the person who makes sure nothing gets lost between the initial brief and the final deliverable. Her focus is simple: keep the process smooth so the work can be great.
Gabriel is a storyteller, which sounds simple until you understand what he means by it.
With over 20 years of experience across journalism, brand strategy, and copywriting, he has written for brands like Coca-Cola, Jack Daniel’s, Heineken, Ford, Maersk, Mercedes-Benz, and Pfizer; and spent a decade doing communications work for humanitarian nonprofits. The breadth is real. But the through line is always the same: he listens until a brand’s story feels like his own, and then writes it that way.
That’s what makes his copy feel lived-in rather than manufactured. Whether he’s writing for a fly fishing lodge in Mexico or a climbing gym in Asheville, Gabriel brings genuine curiosity, deep listening, and the ability to turn what a brand is into something an audience actually feels.
Margaret leads creative vision and business development at DeFrance Digital, which, in practice, means she’s the person who makes the work look inevitable.
With a background in fine art and over a decade of experience spanning creative direction, sales, and marketing, Margaret brings something rare to every project: the ability to see a brand clearly and translate that clarity into design, messaging, and strategy that actually resonates.
Before DeFrance Digital, she built a career closing deals and leading creative for clients across industries; developing the kind of commercial instincts that most creative directors never have to sharpen. That combination of artistic eye and sales intelligence is what makes her such a powerful advocate for the brands she works with.
At DeFrance Digital, Margaret oversees brand identity, website design, and creative direction – and works directly with clients from the first conversation to the final deliverable. If the work feels cohesive, intentional, and unmistakably on-brand, Margaret’s fingerprints are on it.
Martin founded DeFrance Digital on a simple but rare premise: the person who owns the agency runs your account. No handoffs, no account managers passing messages up the chain; just direct access to a senior strategist who is personally invested in your growth.
With over a decade in digital marketing, Martin has built and scaled brands across outdoor adventure, medical aesthetics, natural products, and more. Before DeFrance, he served as Director at Volume Nine and currently holds the CMO role at Cultivate Management Group (a network of outdoor adventure companies across the Southeast).
He’s the strategist, the account lead, and the person you’ll hear from on Monday morning.
